Mr and Mrs Holst originate from Norway, have six children, all of who serve the Lord Jesus and three of their children are in full time ministry. They have been missionaries to Africa for over 25 years and are currently serving on the mission field in South Africa

I met the Holst's about ten years ago when they came to visit the the house group I was leading in Durban, South Africa. A little later I went to visit them at their home and asked if they would give me spiritual guidance with my walk with the Lord. I had lost my parents many years before and so over time they adopted me as their spiritual son.

They are pillars in my life, being there for me when things were good and not so good, always pointing me in the direction of the King of Kings, Jesus. I have always appreciated their candidness towards me, never trying to make things look other than that they were. They have counselled me when counselling was required and put me back on the straight path when I have stumbled.

They have given me a glimpse of how a father and mother ought to bring up their children in the fear of the Lord. They have given me a better understanding as to how my Father in heaven loves and cares about me, by the love they have shown me.

They have taught me so much, giving from their hearts and imparting knowledge and wisdom freely that they have gathered over the many years of serving the Lord. They have been true disciples, training up those who were coming after them that they too may serve the Lord with passion and accomplish the Lord's will.
